Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that can be injected under the skin in order to add volume/fill out lines in the face. Most of them are made from hyaluronic acid, which is a natural product we already produce as humans, but it’s modified to make it last longer. It can also come in lots of different thicknesses to suit each area of the face. It has lots of properties but the most amazing one is that it can hold 1000x its weight in water! This is how it is able to give a plumped appearance to certain areas to create definition and shape, fill lost volume from the skin from ageing or smooth out wrinkles depending on where its put in.
Our collagen production slows as we age, and as well as hyaluronic acid fillers helping to keep the skin hydrated by drawing in moisture, it can also help to keep collagen from breaking down as quickly, as well as encourage new collagen to be made. WIN/WIN!
Dermal fillers can be amazing for keeping people looking fresh and youthful as they age, but can also be life-changing for people who can have temporary changes made to increase their confidence/free themselves from their insecurities!
I always use CE marked, and approved fillers that have come from a genuine pharmacy to ensure safety. I also always use hyaluronic acid fillers just in case reversal is needed, due to dissatisfaction, migration of filler or emergency.

Nasolabial (nose to mouth) & Marionette (mouth to chin) lines

As we age, the fat pads that are found in our faces can start to lose their volume and work their way downwards. This in combination with loss of volume and elasticity in the skin, can mean that lines around the nose and mouth start to form, creating a more aged appearance. Using different injection techniques, filler can be used to replace the lost volume and iron out the creases, and ultimately rejuvenate the lower face.

Lip Filler

Lips are a very important part of the face, and can cause people a lot of insecurities. So many people have been led to believe that all lip enhancements look "fake" but this couldn't be further than the truth. Beautiful, natural looking lips can be sculpted through the use of filler and this is one of the most popular treatments in aesthetics.

Cheek Filler

As well as our skin and fat pads losing volume over time, our bones actually lose their volume and density too, which is something that not many people know. Using a higher viscosity filler injected more deeply, bone can be replicated, meaning that the structure and support of the  cheekbones can be replaced, and help you look younger and more defined.

Chin Filler

Such an underrated treatment! Chin filler can help to balance the proportions of the profile and is great for anyone who has a ‘weak’ short, retracted chin. Female patients benefit from an enhanced chin to create a more feminine look and create a heart-shape to the face. Men can benefit from chin filler to give the appearance of a stronger chin. Both genders can have chin fillers to reduce the appearance of a chin dimple.

Jawline Filler

Jawline filler is used to improve the definition of the jaw, either because a defined jaw is not something they naturally have or because the jaw has become poorly defined due to age. For both males and females, a defined jawline can be desirable. Jawline filler is not suitable for everyone so please feel free to enquire.

Tear Trough Filler

Tear trough filler treatment fills hollows under the eyes. This can help to give the impression of more "awake" eyes, to disguise eye bags, reduce the appearance of dark circles to give you a fresher, less tired-looking appearance.

Anti-wrinkle Treatments
Anti-wrinkle treatments

Botulinum A toxin is a freeze dried, vacuum stored, purified protein. When injected under the skin, it settles in the junctions between the nerve ending and the muscle. The toxin trims the receptor that passes the message from the nerve ending to the muscle to contract, and temporarily relaxes the muscle as a result. This reduction in movement also reduces the appearance of wrinkles, as the muscle is unable to fully move in the same motion that created the wrinkle over time. Botulinum A toxin longevity varies from person to person, but it is typical for the muscle to return to full movement after approximately 12 weeks.
At Aesthetics by Clare, upper face Botulinum A toxin can be used to treat 3 areas: the forehead, frown lines between the eyebrows, and the "crow's feet" around the eyes. Any of these areas can be treated, however the forehead cannot be treated on its own, it must be treated in with the frown lines to avoid the brow muscle "dropping". It is recommended that Botulinum A toxin injections are a minimum of four months apart.

Please be aware that a consultation appointment with a prescriber is needed before treatment.

Chemical Peels
Chemical peels

A Chemical peel is an exfoliating treatment used to improve skin texture and tone, as well as reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, cleansing and minimising the appearance of pores to reduce acne and blackheads. An acid is applied to the skin to lower the pH, which loosens the connections between dead skin cells, encourages exfoliation and stimulates new cell growth. This process causes superficial layers of dead skin to peel off, revealing a smoother and more radiant complexion. Chemical peels work by deeply exfoliating the surface layers of the skin, forcing your body to replenish it with new cells. when peels are performed regularly, the skin gets used to this process and begins to rejuvenate itself like younger skin.

Chemical peels have been used dating back to Ancient Egypt, according to some sources, Cleopatra used sour milk to improve the appearance of her skin.

Beautiful skin doesn't happen overnight, and treatments take time to show results. A single Chemical peel can provide the immediate effect of bright and radiant skin; however, more significant results in treating textural issues, fine lines and inflamed acne may take up to 8 weeks. Using homeware products consistently and as directed for optimal results. Try hard to make it a daily habit for yourself and your skin will thank you.

AlumierMD offers light to medium depth peels known for their excellent results and safety profile. Repeated treatments for progressive and gradual results are preferred in order to avoid side effects and downtime associated with deeper peels. AlumierMD peels are only performed by trained skincare professionals in a clinical setting to ensure that they are safely and effectively. There are many different types of chemical peels available, some ingredients include AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) such as lactic acid or glycolic acid, and some include BHA (beta hydroxy acid) ingredients such as salicylic acid.

A chemical peel will include a consultation in which your skin is analysed and decisions can be made about which sort of peel is appropriate for you, and how it chemical peels can be integrated into your skincare treatment plan in order to get you optimum results. In addition, the use of appropriate pre-treatment care in order to prepare the skin and accelerate results, and aftercare will be provided to you to minimise down-time, soothe the skin and maintain the results achieved.

Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning has one main benefit which is facial exfoliation, but there is lots of benefits to it. Dead skin cells are removed from the top layer of the skin using a surgical blade (it doesn’t hurt at all) this also removes the vellus hair (peach fuzz) which leaves the skin feeling smooth and looking glowy. It can also help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and acne scarring. Results last about 4 weeks, and the hair won’t grow back thicker so don’t let that put you off. All dermaplaning treatments include a pre/post-treatment mask.
Please don’t do it yourself, leave it to a professional like Clare who's had proper training, as it can damage the skin if done incorrectly.

Eye Treatments
Eye Treatments

Eyes are a commonly treated area, but also one of the most complex. It is very much dependent on your actual concerns and goals, as well as anatomy, but generally speaking, here are the treatments Clare offers and how they can help you.

Tear trough filler is the best for helping with hollowing under the eyes. strategically placed soft dermal filler can help improve the appearance of hollowing, as well as indirectly help brighten under the eyes and make you appear more "awake".

Regenerative medicine AKA polunucleotide treatment is an exciting development in the aesthetics world. It restores structure and function of damaged tissue, using biology and stem cells research. It maintains healthy tissue by boosting hydration and collagen production, and reduces signs of ageing by promoting fibroblast regeneration and stimulates tissue repair, which helps target bags, blue or pink pigmentation, hyperpigmentation, hollowing, lines, tired looking eyes. It’s suitable for almost everyone although we will need to look at your medical history and do a full assessment. It involves 3 treatments, 4 weeks apart. You’ll need some patience for this one because the results take up to 90 days to fully show.

Mesotherapy using Anti-Radical Complex directly helps with dark circles or pigmentation. A tiny needle is used to deliver droplets of a Vitamin C containing solution just under the skin around the eyes to stop that pigmentation in its tracks and break it down. Again 3x treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart is the treatment protocol.

Most common areas to be treated are the neck and the delicate skin just under the eyes, but can also be applied to anywhere where a bit of a boost is needed. It is delivered using Nanosoft TM “needles” 3x 0.6mm titanium outlets that do not blunt create micro-channels for that goodness to penetrate the skin. this makes for safer delivery, less bruising, quick results, less downtime than other eye rejuvenation treatments. The technique involves tiny injections around the eye, neck, chest, full face or hand areas (literally anywhere that needs a boost) that I promise you are really comfortable. Each treatment involves first a full face peel, the skin booster treatment (YES a skin treatment and injectable treatment all in one), eye recovery mask and sheet mask.
